La instalación Lubyanka, o dibujando con el lado derecho del cerebro incluye el autorretrato de Daniel Ceballos y los retratos de los 13 ex-presos políticos: José Vicente García, Diannet Blanco, Juan Lares, Gregory Sanabria, Joshua Holt, Lorent Saleh, Dayana Santana, Gabriel Valles, Franklin Martínez, Jorge Machado, Renzo Pietro, Vilca Fernández y Génesis Tirado. De ese común acuerdo entre Diana López y Daniel Ceballos, a cada edición se le han sumado las resonancias visuales sobre el inquietante lugar arquitectónico que recluyó a este grupo humano: fotografías post-producidas y editadas sobre El Helicoide junto a fotografías digitales intercambiadas en las conversaciones electrónicas que se daban entre ambos creadores. El resultado, una obra ejemplar que representa el enlace vital entre las dificultades extremas de un contexto, la cruda historia de los totalitarismos, las indefinibles variables del entorno y la templanza incalculable de la experiencia personal; individualidades que despuntan desde el pantano dibujado por las condiciones extremas de abuso, para manifestar a través del arte, el valor y el poder que anida en el respeto a los derechos humanos, la ética y la libertad.

The installation Lubyanka, or painting with the right side of the brain includes the self-portrait of Daniel Ceballos and the portraits of the 13 former political prisoners: José Vicente García, Diannet Blanco, Juan Lares, Gregory Sanabria, Joshua Holt, Lorent Saleh, Dayana Santana , Gabriel Valles, Franklin Martínez, Jorge Machado, Renzo Pietro, Vilca Fernández and Génesis Tirado. From this common agreement between López and Ceballos, each edition has been accompanied by visual resonances about that disturbing architectural place that imprisoned this human group: post-produced and edited photographs about El Helicoide together with digital photographs exchanged in the electronic conversations that occurred between both creators. The result, an exemplary work that represents the vital link between the extreme difficulties of a context, the crude history of totalitarianism, the indefinable variables of the environment and the incalculable temperance of personal experience; individualities that emerge from the swamp drawn by the extreme conditions of abuse, to manifest through art, the value and power that resides in respect for human rights, ethics and freedom.
